About
Also known as: Andrew James Prahlow
Andrew Prahlow is the composer behind one of the most quietly beloved video game soundtracks of recent years, the score for Outer Wilds. The folk tinged, emotionally expansive music he wrote for that action adventure game became inseparable from the experience itself, earning him two G.A.N.G. Award nominations in 2020 and then a win for Best Music for an Indie Game in 2022 for the expansion Outer Wilds: Echoes of the Eye. A BAFTA nomination followed, cementing his reputation well beyond the indie game world. Based in Los Angeles, Prahlow has worked across a striking range of projects. His music has turned up in trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Martian, and he co wrote music heard at Disney's Epcot and in Westworld. In 2022 he also put out Outer Wilds: Echoes of the Eye (The Lost Reels), an expansion to that already celebrated score.
