About
Formed in Albacete, Spain in 2000, Angelus Apatrida grew from a heavy and power metal outfit into one of the most driven thrash metal bands to come out of the country. Their early albums Evil Unleashed and Give 'Em War built a solid reputation at home and abroad, with Give 'Em War drawing comparisons as one of the strongest thrash releases of 2008. Signing with Century Media Records in 2009 pushed them to a wider global audience, and their fourth album The Call hit number 14 on the Spanish charts, a record entry for Century Media in Spain. Over eight studio albums they have sharpened and refined their sound considerably. The 2015 record Hidden Evolution was described by vocalist Guillermo Izquierdo as the band's most technical work, and they have kept the momentum going through to their most recent album Aftermath, released in 2023 via Century Media Records. The lineup of Guillermo and José Izquierdo alongside guitarist David Álvarez and drummer Víctor Valera remains tight and committed.
