About
Angerfist has spent over two decades carving out a reputation as one of hardcore techno's most recognisable figures, to the point where the nickname 'King of Hardcore' has genuinely stuck. The Dutch producer and DJ, who records under the name Danny Masseling, built his sound on distorted kicks, aggressive vocals, and samples pulled from film, TV, and 90s gangsta rap. Tracks like 'Dance with the Wolves', 'Raise Your Fist', and 'Riotstarter' helped define the nu style gabber sound in the mid 2000s, and he has since released seven albums, including 'The Deadfaced Dimension' and 'Creed of Chaos', the latter featuring a vocal sample from the IT film adaptation on the track 'Pennywise'. He performs wearing a white hockey mask and black hoodie, a look originally born out of stage fright that has since become one of the most iconic images in harder styles music.
