Archie Bronson Outfit are a rock band from Bath who built their reputation on a raw, exploratory sound that earned some serious critical heat in the mid 2000s. Their second album, Derdang Derdang, recorded in Nashville and produced by Jacquire King, landed five stars from Time Out and made Mojo's top five albums of 2006, beating out Cat Power and Sonic Youth. A nice detail: both that record and their debut Fur feature Duke Garwood, a secret fourth member at the time, playing clarinet and rhaita, a Moroccan reed instrument. They were discovered by Domino Records boss Laurence Bell after he spotted them playing in his local Putney bar, and they even performed on stage accompanied by an illuminated plastic goose. Signed to Domino throughout their career, the band put out four albums in total. Wild Crush from 2014 saw the lineup slim down to core members Sam Windett and Mark "Arp" Cleveland, joined by additional musicians for the recording.
