About
Arctic Lake spent a decade crafting a sound that critics called 'delectably dreamy alt pop', built around the interplay between vocalist Emma Foster and multi instrumentalist producer Paul Holliman. Starting out as a trio in London, they hit their stride with the 2016 single 'Heal Me', which earned them a slot at Reading and Leeds Festivals. Three EPs followed over the next few years, Closer, What You May Find, and See Inside, each building on their knack for turning tightly wound emotions into big, atmospheric tracks. They also showed range beyond their core sound, touring with Freya Ridings and Vancouver Sleep Clinic, collaborating with neo classical pianist Peter Sandberg, and teaming up with house producer Lane 8. Their 2021 link up with ZHU on the noirish techno track 'Yours' reached number 16 on Billboard's Dance chart. In February 2025, the duo announced they were splitting up.
