About
Arghoslent have been a fixture in the American metal underground since forming in Oakton, Virginia in the early 1990s, building a reputation for galloping riffs and bluegrass influenced guitar leads rooted in traditional metal. That musicianship has earned them genuine attention in underground circles, but the band is equally, if not more, known for lyrics that deal in historical racism, apologia for the transatlantic slave trade, eugenics, and imperialism. Multiple outlets including the Southern Poverty Law Center, Vice, and The Daily Beast have classified them as white power music, and their catalogue was pulled from streaming services and digital retailers from 2014 onward. Their fourth studio album, Resuscitation of the Revanchists, finally arrived in 2023 after recording was held up by pandemic related travel restrictions.
