About
Autumn! is the rapper who put pluggnb on the map. The Lafayette, Louisiana native, born Benjamin Phillips Jr., helped define the genre alongside Summrs and Texas rapper Kankan, turning a hazy blend of plugg and R&B textures into something with a real cult following. His breakthrough came almost by accident when 'Nina!', a song he tossed in as album filler, went viral on TikTok in 2019 and pulled a much wider audience into his world. Signed to Victor Victor Worldwide, he kept releasing at a serious pace through the early 2020s, with Golden Child: Chapter 3 standing out as his most ambitious project, pulling together sounds from across his whole career. More recently he has been experimenting beyond the pluggnb template, with Midnight Club marking a clear shift in direction and 2025's Rolling Stone landing well with fans looking for a return to form.
