Axel Boman put Stockholm house music on the map when his 2010 EP Holy Love dropped on Pampa Records and "Purple Drank" started making waves across the scene. His sound gets described as "raw, playful and drenched in oceans of soul", which tracks pretty well when you actually listen to it. Beyond his own releases he has put together remixes for the likes of John Talabot and Harald Bjork, and he is a founding member of the much loved Swedish label Studio Barnhus. His debut album Family Vacation pushed his profile further and showed he had more range than a single genre tag could cover. Not bad for someone who also holds a fine arts degree from Valand.
