About
Also known as: Arabella Latham, Arabella Sarah Lennox Latham
Baby Queen is the stage name of Arabella Latham, a South African born singer in London whose songs are built on being uncomfortably honest about drugs, depression and growing up online. Her first ever Baby Queen track, "Raw Thoughts", reportedly took about 20 minutes to write, and that stream of consciousness style set the tone for everything after. She signed to Polydor over Zoom in 2020 and put out her debut EP, Medicine, that November, much of it made remotely during lockdown. The debut mixtape The Yearbook followed in 2021, with singles like "Dover Beach", "These Drugs" and "American Dream" featuring May a, and "You Shaped Hole" landed on the FIFA 22 soundtrack. Her single "Colours of You" was used to promote the Netflix series Heartstopper, and she made the long list for the Radio 1 Sound of 2022. Her debut album, Quarter Life Crisis, arrived in November 2023, and she has kept up the momentum with fresh audio releases like "We Can Be Anything". Her fans go by the name Baby Kingdom.
