About
Bankrol Hayden built his name on melodic rap with a raw emotional edge, and his breakthrough came with 'Costa Rica', a track that racked up over 50 million streams and spawned a remix with The Kid Laroi. The Modesto native is signed to Atlantic Records, and his debut album Pain is Temporary landed on the Billboard 200, featuring guest spots from Lil Baby, Polo G, and The Kid Laroi. His gold certified singles 'Brothers' with Luh Kel and 'Costa Rica' showed he could blend vulnerability with infectious hooks. His second album, 29, dropped in March 2023 and brought in Blueface, Lil Tecca, Arden Jones, and Charlieonnafriday. The title is a nod to November 29, the date of a serious car accident that put him on life support for six days and directly inspired one of his earlier singles. That kind of lived experience runs through his music and gives it weight beyond the usual melodic rap fare.
