About
Bay Ledges is the solo project of Zach Hurd, a musician who launched the project in 2015 in his Los Angeles bedroom after relocating from Maine. The sound he built there, chopped guitar lines, playful beats and manipulated vocals weaving into something soulful and glitchy, got serious attention when his 2016 single "Safe" hit number three on Spotify's Global Viral Chart. He has since racked up over 60 million streams and drawn coverage from outlets like Billboard and Under The Radar. Hurd writes, produces and mixes everything himself. His 2022 debut album "Ritual" was a 13 track record that moved between psychedelic and meditative moods, exploring nostalgia and transience. His follow up, "Rivers", digs even deeper, partly written in response to losing several family members, including his father. The title points to two rivers in Maine, a state that keeps pulling Hurd back even as he has since moved on to Northern California. Live, he has headlined sold out shows at spots like the Troubadour in Los Angeles and shared stages with acts like Goth Babe and Big Wild.
