Two time UK Beatbox Champion, Beardyman (Darren Foreman) built his reputation by doing things with his mouth that most producers need a full studio to pull off. His live sets pull from drum and bass, dubstep, trance, techno, reggae, and even country music, all generated purely from his voice and then twisted through loop pedals, vocoders, and effects gear. The Korg Kaoss Pad was a signature tool for years, but he eventually ditched off the shelf gear entirely in favour of a custom built system called the Beardytron 5000 MkII, which he described as a real time music production machine. He gave a TED talk in 2013 demonstrating it live, showing off everything from crying babies to didgeridoo sounds before layering them into full tracks. His debut album I Done a Album dropped in 2011, and he has collaborated with beatboxer Harry Mack among others.
