About
Ben van Oosten is an organist from Den Haag with a serious reputation in the international classical music world. He performs in prestigious series such as the Organ Celebrities, where he brings a broad repertoire to some of Europe's most atmospheric venues. His programmes tend to mix the grand and the intimate: think Widor's orchestral symphonies for organ alongside the quiet devotion of Bach's chorale preludes, with Mendelssohn often in the mix too. He has a particular affinity for the French cathedral tradition, and the sweeping, resonant sound world of composers like Charles Marie Widor sits naturally in his hands.
