About
Bia got her break the unlikely way, through YouTube and a reality show, before turning into one of the sharper voices in rap. She appeared on the first two seasons of Sisterhood of Hip Hop, signed to Pharrell's I Am Other label with RCA in 2014, and later opened for Pusha T and Ariana Grande. Her guest spot on J Balvin's "Safari" topped the charts in Mexico and Spain, and her debut EP Nice Girls Finish Last: Cuidado followed in 2018. The real turning point came after she left RCA, saying the label was blocking her music. Going independent, she dropped "Best on Earth" with Russ, a song Rihanna called her new favorite, which sparked the #BestOnEarthChallenge and gave Bia her first Hot 100 entry. Then came Epic Records and the EP For Certain, where "Whole Lotta Money", boosted by TikTok and a Nicki Minaj remix, climbed to number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100. She has also teamed up with J. Cole on "London".
