Big Foot Mama spent the 1990s turning Ljubljana's biggest stages into sold out events that Slovenian rock bands had never managed before. Venues like Križanke and Hala Tivoli were considered untouchable for local acts, yet the band filled them repeatedly, breaking sales records in the rock category along the way. Their third album, Tretja dimenzija (The Third Dimension), cemented their reputation as the defining Slovenian pop rock act of the decade. Starting out in 1990, the five piece kept releasing music well into the 2000s and beyond, with albums ranging from the energetic early records to Izhod in 2012 and Plameni v raju (Flames in Paradise) in 2018. Their longevity says a lot about how deeply rooted they are in the Slovenian rock scene.
