Bleeding Through built their reputation on a ferocious blend of metalcore, Swedish melodic death metal and hardcore punk, and that combination still hits hard more than two decades in. Formed in Orange County, California in 1999 by vocalist Brandan Schieppati after his time with Throwdown and Eighteen Visions, the band broke through with their 2003 Trustkill Records album This Is Love, This Is Murderous, which drew serious attention beyond the metal world partly thanks to a van crash accidentally caught on live television that same year. Keyboardist Marta Demmel has been a distinctive part of their sound throughout, setting them apart from most bands in the genre. After splitting with Trustkill over financial disputes, they moved to Rise Records and put out two more albums before calling it quits in 2014. The reunion came three years later, and 2018 brought Love Will Kill All through SharpTone Records. Their ninth studio album, Nine, arrived on February 14, 2025, and with over 400,000 albums sold worldwide, they have clearly held onto their audience through every twist of the ride.
