About
Blind Witness built their reputation the hard way, grinding through the deathcore scene out of Granby, Quebec since 2005. Their 2010 record Nightmare on Providence Street, released on Mediaskare Records, is the high point of their catalogue, picking up an 84 percent score from Absolute Punk and winning over listeners who would normally write off metalcore entirely. Their 2008 debut Silences Are Words got them started on Torque Records, but it was that second full length where things clicked. The band went through serious turbulence in 2011 when four of five members quit, and eventually called it a day in 2012 after a final show at Heavy Montréal. The reunion came in 2014, and they followed it up with the I Am Hell EP in 2015. A refreshed lineup with new faces on bass and drums has kept the band active into the 2020s.
