About
Blue Tears built a devoted regional following in the late 1980s on the strength of relentless live shows and radio airplay for tracks like 'Stay With Me', which hit number two on a Tennessee FM station and helped land them a deal with MCA Records. Their self titled debut arrived in 1990, led by the single 'Rockin' With the Radio', but the timing was brutal: glam metal was dying fast, and a finished second album never saw release because MCA pulled the plug as grunge took over. The unreleased tracks eventually surfaced years later on two compilation albums, Mad, Bad and Dangerous and Dancin' On the Back Streets, both on Sun City Records. Frontman and driving force Gregg Fulkerson kept the name alive into the 2000s, releasing The Innocent Ones on AOR Heaven in 2006, before his death in 2009 brought the band to a permanent close.
