Bobby Bazini's second album, Where I Belong, became the best selling Canadian album of 2014, going platinum with over 100,000 copies sold. That record came together in California, where he headed out with his guitar and his car to work with producer Larry Klein, recording live off the floor alongside Booker T. Jones on organ and Jay Bellerose on drums. The result was a warm, breathing mix of folk, country and soul that clearly hit a nerve. His debut, Better In Time, had already gone platinum and nearly cracked the top three of the Canadian Albums Chart, earning him two Juno nominations in 2011. He followed Where I Belong with Summer Is Gone in 2016, produced by names behind Ed Sheeran and Adele, and it landed on Pop Magazine's list of the top 50 albums of that year. Signed to Universal Music Canada, Bazini has built a reputation as a songwriter who keeps things rooted and genuine.
