About
Also known as: Bobby O. Pinson, Bobby Olen Pinson
Bobby Pinson is a Tulsa born country artist and songwriter whose pen has quietly shaped a remarkable chunk of mainstream country radio. Signed to RCA Nashville in 2005, his debut album Man Like Me produced the single "Don't Ask Me How I Know", which cracked the Top 20 on the Hot Country Songs chart. His label run was short, but his songwriting career turned out to be the real story. He co wrote four Number One hits for Toby Keith, including "She Never Cried in Front of Me" and "Made in America", and another four chart toppers for Sugarland, among them "Want To", "All I Want to Do" and "It Happens". Beyond those big names, Pinson's credits stretch across a wide roster: Brooks and Dunn, Tracy Lawrence, Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Aaron Lewis and more. He released a third solo album, Songs for Somebody, in 2007 on an independent label, showing he never lost his own artistic voice even while stocking other artists with hits.
