About

Also known as: Mohamed Amine Bouguenna

Bou, real name Mohamed Amine Bouguenna, is a Manchester based drum and bass producer with a knack for turning quick ideas into big moments. His remix of Robert Miles' 'Children' became 'Closer', a collaboration with Manchester vocalist Slay that he knocked out in forty minutes on FL Studio after a friend invited him to a studio session. It shot to No. 24 on the UK Singles Chart and landed him a deal with Island Records. That same summer he linked up with Chase & Status for 'Baddadan', bringing in Flowdan, Irah, Trigga and Takura, and the track climbed all the way to No. 5. Before all that, his feature on Bru C's 'Streetside' quietly racked up a Gold certification, and he also collabed with Example on 'Deep', a track that ended up on Example's album 'We May Grow Old But We Never Grow Up'. His influence even crept into someone else's hit when Tommy Villiers credited him for inspiring the iconic cowbell on Piri & Tommy's 'On & On'.
