About
Boudewijn de Groot Project came together in 2024 with a clear purpose: to bring the songs of Dutch singer songwriter Boudewijn de Groot back to live stages now that de Groot himself no longer performs. The group keeps things intimate and acoustic, staying as faithful as possible to the originals. Their setlist draws on well known titles like Meneer De President, Testament, Als De Rook Om Je Hoofd Is Verdwenen, Avond and Het Land Van Maas En Waal. Front man Peter de Jong is a troubadour with a long road behind him, taking in the Rotterdams Conservatorium, a stint as a musician at the theatrical theme park Land van Ooit, and countless gigs as a solo singer songwriter across theatres, cafes, castles and living rooms. On stage he is joined by Nadie de Jong on acoustic and electric guitar and vocals, Brian Kruit on bass, Jeroen Dikkers on piano and accordion, and Diede de Jong on drums.
