About
Eight people, three vocalists, three guitarists, a bassist and a drummer, Brothers of Metal from Falun, Sweden, lean hard into Viking and Norse mythology, and they do it with a deliberate, gleeful excess that divides opinion and wins devotion in equal measure. Their debut album Prophecy of Ragnarök started life as a self release in 2017 before AFM Records picked it up, and the band has been building momentum ever since. Second album Emblas Saga arrived in 2020, and in 2024 they dropped their third record Fimbulvinter, a release that had been teased through a run of singles including Heavy Metal Viking and Nanna's Fate. They also appeared on a Saltatio Mortis single that same year, with all three Brothers of Metal vocalists lending their voices to the track Fire and Ore.
