About
Also known as: Bruce Dickenson, Dickinson, Dickinson, Bruce, Paul Bruce Dickinson
Few rock singers have a CV quite like Bruce Dickinson's. The voice behind Iron Maiden since 1981, he brought an operatic power and theatrical physicality to the band that helped drive them to over 100 million albums sold. His range is genuinely unusual for heavy metal, and his stage presence turned Iron Maiden shows into something closer to spectacle than gig. Outside the band he has kept himself very busy. His solo catalog stretches from the groove heavy Tattooed Millionaire to the more ambitious Tyranny of Souls, and 2024 brought The Mandrake Project, his first solo record in nearly two decades. He is also a licensed commercial pilot who literally flew Iron Maiden around the world in a Boeing 747 nicknamed Ed Force One, founded an aircraft maintenance company called Cardiff Aviation, and competed at fencing to a high level internationally. A reimagined version of his fan favorite Tears of the Dragon surfaced in 2026, showing he is far from done.
