About
Budjerah's debut single "Missing You" went straight to the top of the Triple J airplay chart in 2020, and the Coodjinburra singer from the Bundjalung nation has barely slowed since. His sound moves easily between soul, R&B, hip hop, indie and pop, which suits a voice shaped by gospel influences like Sam Cooke and The Clark Sisters. Matt Corby produced his self titled debut EP, which won him the Breakthrough Artist award at the 2021 ARIA Awards. He followed it with the Conversations EP in 2022 and his first world tour, plus smooth, warm singles like "Ready for the Sky" and "Therapy". Along the way he supported Ed Sheeran on an Australian run, took Artist of the Year at the 2023 National Indigenous Music Awards, and covered Crowded House's "Better Be Home Soon" with WILSN. His debut studio album, Gentleman, arrived in July 2026.
