About
Formed in London in 2007 when pianist and lead vocalist Jet Baker pulled together a band and started working the city's pubs and clubs, Buster Shuffle deal in cockney ska punk with a strong vintage rock and roll flavour. Their 2010 debut Our Night Out earned four stars from Uncut, and things moved quickly from there: BBC radio DJ Steve Lamacq started spinning their records, Frank Black of the Pixies became a fan, and the band went on to tour with Madness, The Blockheads, The Selecter, The Wombats and The Beat. Their fourth album I'll Take What I Want, released in 2017, pushed the sound in a heavier, punkier direction, and a single from it landed in the London Metro. The album Do Nothing has also seen the band appear regularly on Amazon Europe bestseller charts. Touring has taken them across the US, Canada and Mexico, and Jet Baker has since added Die Toten Hosen to his list of collaborators.
