Busy Signal has been one of the driving forces in contemporary dancehall since 2003, when the Jamaican artist born in Saint Ann Parish started making serious noise on the scene. His debut single "Step Out" dropped in 2005 and set the tone for a career full of hard hitting tracks. Hits like "Nah Go A Jail Again", "Tic Toc" and "Unknown Number" cemented his reputation across the Caribbean and the US, and his second album Loaded on VP Records packed in 15 dancehall bangers back in 2008. Busy Signal's reach has stretched well beyond Jamaica. He collaborated with No Doubt and Major Lazer on the Push and Shove title track, and his feature on Major Lazer's "Watch Out For This (Bumaye)" became a genuine hit across Europe. BBC Music placed his Reggae Music Again at number 7 on their Top 25 Albums of 2012. His 2019 album Parts of the Puzzle came out on VP Records and debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, proving his consistency over the long haul.
