About
Also known as: Maria Carolina Martinez Deslandes
Carolina Deslandes is a Lisbon singer songwriter who has built a big enough following at home to fill arenas in Portugal, and she's now winning over listeners across the rest of Europe too. Her songs are easy to love, her voice is warm, and her lyrics feel personal and honest rather than polished into something distant. On record she leans into pop, r&b and electronic textures, as on her album Chorar No Club from 2025. Live, though, she can strip it all back: in a trio with guitarist Feodor Bivol and cellist Sandra Martins, her well known songs turn intimate and acoustic. Our database files her under fado, but her recent sound ranges well beyond that.
