About
Caron is the live project of Dutch producer Marcel Caron, who has been rooted in electronic music since the late nineties. Since 2014 he has put out a string of EPs on labels like Brokntoys, 030303 and Shipwrec, shifting between acid, electro and techno with a dark, melancholic streak running underneath it all. On stage it's all hardware. He maps out structures in advance, then sequences in real time and improvises around them, so no set is quite locked in. The sound drifts from tense, atmospheric stretches into tangled rhythms and acid lines, and eventually into heavier, dancefloor driven pressure.
