About
Carrousel Brass Collective is a group of seven brass players pulled from the upper tier of the professional orchestra world, with backgrounds that span symphonic, military and jazz ensembles. That mix shapes everything they do. Their programmes put classical and non classical music side by side, on the basis that the line between the two is mostly imaginary. The repertoire stretches from Renaissance polyphony to big band and techno, and they are as at home on a festival stage as in a concert hall. What they care about is connection, both among the seven of them and with the audience, and they like to tell the story behind the music as they play it.
