Brothers Max and Igor Cavalera spent a decade on opposite sides of one of metal's most famous fallouts, their split from Sepultura in the late 1990s turning into a prolonged silence between them. When they finally reconciled in 2006 and started making music together again, the result was Cavalera Conspiracy, a Phoenix based outfit that leans hard into the raw, aggressive sound the brothers helped pioneer with Sepultura. Their debut album Inflikted came out in 2008 through Roadrunner Records, recorded with producer Logan Mader, and it announced their reunion in the most direct way possible: loud, heavy, and uncompromising. Since then they have put out Blunt Force Trauma, Pandemonium, and Psychosis, keeping the death metal edge sharp across every release. Under the shortened name Cavalera, the brothers have also revisited their Sepultura roots by streaming re recorded versions of classic early albums including Morbid Visions and Schizophrenia, giving those foundational records a fresh listen for a new generation of fans.
