About
Also known as: chaos dans le cbd, chaosdanslecbd
Chaos in the CBD are brothers Louis and Ben Helliker Hales, a house duo who made their name on the London underground scene after relocating from Auckland, New Zealand in 2012. A chance meeting with DJ Bradley Zero landed them a spot at his beloved Rhythm Section parties in Peckham, and their Midnight in Peckham EP on Rhythm Section International became a calling card for their warm, jazz tinged take on deep house. They co founded their own label, In Dust We Trust, in 2017, keeping full creative control of everything since. Their debut album A Deeper Life, described as laidback, subtle and sophisticated, hit number 2 on the UK Dance Chart and cracked the New Zealand albums chart on release in 2025. Along the way they have collaborated with Nathan Haines and Novelist, remixed Alton Miller and Zebra Katz, and put together a fabric presents mix for Fabric Records in 2023.
