About
Salt Lake City's Chelsea Grin have been one of deathcore's most relentless acts since forming in 2007, building a catalog of two EPs and seven full length albums over a career that has seen almost every founding member cycle out. Bassist David Flinn is the one constant, appearing on every studio record despite never being part of the original lineup. Their debut full length, Desolation of Eden, hit number 21 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers Chart and got the band coverage in Alternative Press and papers nationwide. The band have never stood still stylistically, and lineup shifts have pushed them in new directions. When longtime vocalist Alex Koehler left in 2018, former Lorna Shore vocalist Tom Barber stepped in, and the revamped four piece dropped Eternal Nightmare that same year. Recent music videos for tracks like 'Origin of Sin' and 'The Isnis' show the band still very much active and leaning hard into their dense, brutal sound.
