About
Christopher Hall is the voice behind Stabbing Westward, the Illinois born industrial rock band he co founded with keyboardist Walter Flakus back in 1984. The band built a devoted following through a run of dark, intense records in the 1990s, including Wither Blister Burn and Peel and Darkest Days, before eventually splitting up in 2002. Hall kept busy in the meantime with The Dreaming, a side project that produced three albums of its own, Etched in Blood, Puppet, and Rise Again, keeping his gritty, brooding sound alive across a new outfit. Stabbing Westward reunited in 2016, and the reunion proved to be more than a nostalgia trip. The band released Chasing Ghosts in March 2022, showing Hall still has plenty to say in the industrial space.
