Claire Marie Le Guay is a French classical pianist whose career has taken her to some of the most storied stages in the world, from Carnegie Hall to Wigmore Hall. Daniel Barenboim was so taken with her playing that he personally invited her to perform with the Chicago Civic Orchestra, which says a lot about the esteem she commands in classical circles. Her recording work has a strong thematic focus, with a four volume Haydn Mozart series for the Universal Accord label forming a major part of her discography. Alongside her performing career, she has worked as an assistant to Bruno Rigutto at the Paris Conservatoire since 2001, keeping one foot in teaching while maintaining an active presence on the concert circuit. In 2015 she was also selected for the Eisenhower Fellows Women's Leadership Program, a nod to her influence beyond the concert hall.
