Clark, the project of English musician Christopher Stephen Clark, has been one of Warp Records' most reliably surprising artists since his debut in 2001. Originally releasing under the name Chris Clark, he dropped the first name with 2006's Body Riddle, a record that leaned into live instrumentation run through heavy processing and scored an 8.5 from Pitchfork. It later landed at number 17 on Pitchfork's list of the 50 best IDM albums of all time, with producers like Rustie and Hudson Mohawke citing it as an influence. His 2014 self titled album earned Pitchfork's Best New Music and an 83 on Metacritic, recorded in an isolated barn in Lincolnshire over four straight months. Since 2015 he has moved fluidly into screen composition, scoring the BAFTA nominated series Kiri and Apple TV+'s Lisey's Story. His tenth album Sus Dog, released on Deutsche Grammophon, was executive produced by Thom Yorke, who also contributed vocals and bass, and was named Album of the Year by Bleep.
