About
Claudio Constantini plays both piano and bandoneón, and that dual identity shapes everything he does. Born in Lima and now based in Spain, he moves fluidly between classical repertoire and Latin American music, with improvisation woven through all of it. His album AMERICA, pairing Gershwin with Piazzolla, earned him a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Classical Album in 2019, and he has performed at some of the world's most storied venues, from the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam to the Berlin Philharmonie and Vienna's Musikverein. His discography is impressively wide ranging, covering Debussy's complete Preludes, tango, Bach, and original compositions. Recent years have been especially productive, with several releases landing in 2024 alone, including An Imaginary Soundtrack, Efímero, and a Bach partitas and suite recording on Warner Music Spain. He also has one of the largest social media followings of any classical instrumentalist, which says a lot about how naturally his music crosses genre lines.
