About
CLITTEBAND is a loud, young, feminist and queer band out of Hilversum that treats fun as the whole point. Their sound sits somewhere between riot grrrl and ska punk, and they describe what they do as art punk: energetic, creative and a bit chaotic. The music grows out of old school punk, but they have no fear of pushing it somewhere new. On stage it's all shouting, stomping, messing about and pushing back, with a clear urge to stretch the boundaries of what a punk band can be. They have played rooms all over the Netherlands, and they often share bills with Naaimachine, a garage punk and riot grrrl band from Haarlem and Amsterdam, including on the Girls to the Front tours.
