About
Club Looney is a legendary club night from Arnhem that helped put the Dutch club scene on the map in the early 1990s, alongside venues like Amsterdam's RoXY. At its peak, party goers travelled from all over the Netherlands by train to spend long, sweaty nights dancing to house, rave, acid and Detroit techno. The nights built a reputation as a welcoming space where free spirits and house lovers could come together for a genuinely euphoric experience. The music that defined those early editions, rooted in house and related electronic styles, has proved remarkably durable, turning up as the backbone of DJ sets decades later. Club Looney has run multiple editions since reviving the concept, carrying the same open, communal energy that made the original nights so memorable.
