Conjurer play a style that refuses to stay in one lane, blending sludge metal, doom and post metal into something that critics have called genuinely hard to pin down. Formed in Rugby in 2014, they spent years building a reputation through relentless live work before their 2018 debut album Mire put them on the map. Their second album Páthos arrived in 2022 and earned them serious praise, with Kerrang! calling them one of the finest metal bands around right now. Along the way they collaborated with post rock act Pijn on the Curse These Metal Hands EP, a project named after a line from the British sitcom Peep Show, and covered tracks by Slipknot and Mastodon on a split with Palm Reader. Signed to Nuclear Blast, they have shared stages at Download, Hellfest and ArcTanGent, and supported acts including Carcass and Voivod.
