About
Corinna & The Cosmopolitans built their show around the life and music of Peggy Lee, and it is quite a story to tell. Vocalist and storyteller Corinna Kramer weaves together episodes from Lee's remarkable but troubled history, a career full of hits shadowed by addiction and heartbreak, and brings it all to life with swinging performances of songs like Fever, Mañana, Big Spender and Is That All There Is? Backing her is a tight band of serious jazz musicians. Pianist Mark van der Feen has won the Montreux Jazz Concours twice, while double bassist Sven Schuster and drummer Victor de Boo both come from the house band of Radio 6 Jazz. The result is a show that mixes laughter, atmosphere and genuinely sharp playing.
