After spending four years making music as one half of the French duo Shin Sekaï alongside rapper Abou Tall, Dadju stepped out on his own and quickly proved he didn't need a partner. His debut solo album Gentleman 2.0, released in 2017 on Polydor Records under Universal Music Group, set the tone: the single Reine went diamond and racked up over a hundred million YouTube views. A French Congolese singer working in contemporary R&B and pop rap, Dadju has an ear for melodic hooks that sit somewhere between smooth vocal R&B and French urban pop. He kept the momentum going through 2018 with a string of clips including Lionne, Django featuring Franglish, and Jaloux, showing real range across the project.
