From Marseille, Dadoo built his reputation as a cornerstone of French rap through his years with KDD, a five piece group that signed to Columbia and put out three albums between 1996 and 2000, selling over 200,000 copies. Résurrection and Une Couleur de plus au Drapeau are still regarded as classics of the genre. After the group split, he launched a solo career with the 2003 album France History X, a sharp critique of class contradictions in France that connected immediately, especially the track Sales Gosses which featured a video with Jamel Debbouze and Joeystarr. His work stretches well beyond rapping. He co directed the soundtrack for Taxi 3, wrote music for Alain Chabat's film RRRrrrr!!!, and produced Joeystarr's debut solo album Gare au Jaguarr in 2006, which was nominated at the Victoires de la Musique in the Urban Music category. He has collaborated with Akhenaton, Kool Shen, Rohff, Oxmo Puccino, Diam's and even Jean Michel Jarre on a remix of Oxygène. In 2009 he pivoted toward rock as singer and bassist in D and the Zepp.
