About
Daniël Groenenboom is a guitarist and bassist with a clear soft spot for the heavier end of the spectrum. Metal, hardcore and distortion are his natural habitat, and he has a habit of opening with a riff that grabs the room immediately. He plays both bass guitar and electric guitar, often using them to shake up an audience that might not be expecting that kind of energy. Beyond his own playing, he is a regular fixture at Poppodium Phoenix in Breda, where he turns up in multiple roles: running sound, operating lights, and occasionally throwing himself into the mosh pit. That hands on involvement says something about how seriously he takes live music, from every angle of the room.
