About
David Penn has built his reputation as one of Spain's go to names in house music, running his own imprint Urbana Recordings while racking up remix work for labels like Defected and releases across the funky house, disco house and tech house spectrum. His collaborative run with DJ Chus in the 2000s produced a string of house and garage house tracks that cemented his standing early on. More recently, he's been a fixture at Defected events and the Defected Croatia festival, and his remix of Ultra Flava for Defected in 2020 showed exactly why the label keeps coming back to him. Traxsource ranked him the Best House Artist of 2019 and placed him at number 10 in their Top Artists of 2020, which tells you a lot about where he sits in the scene right now.
