About
De IJsselzangers have been part of the musical life of Zutphen for 75 years, making them one of the longer standing choral societies in the Dutch choral scene. Their credo sums it up well: friendship, solidarity, and hard work in pursuit of a strong result. The choir puts quality front and centre, performing varied programmes that mix choral pieces, solo singing, and instrumental numbers. Paul Michèl Tijssen conducts the group and pushes them to a high standard. Beyond the stage, De IJsselzangers have a social conscience too, donating a fixed share of ticket proceeds to Stichting Urgente Noden, a welfare fund supporting people in financial crisis in Zutphen.
