About
De Osse Opera en Stadsharmonie KVA is a collaboration between Stadsharmonie KVA and the Osse Operavereniging OVV, two ensembles that join forces to deliver concert programmes spanning a wide range of musical worlds. Their repertoire moves freely between opera, musical theatre, film scores and video game music, drawing on composers from Monteverdi and Bizet to Karl Jenkins. For one of their concerts they brought in the Nijmeegs Opera Koor as an additional choral partner, and featured Oss born singer and musical theatre performer Maaike Widdershoven as soloist. The result is a blend of classic operatic tradition and more contemporary, popular forms of orchestral music, tied together by a shared taste for drama and emotional range.
