About
Also known as: Deniz Rakhmanova
Deniz Reno first got real traction in 2013 with a cover of Wicked Game made with producer Anton Ishutin, which racked up millions of views on YouTube. From there the Canadian singer songwriter, DJ and producer built a catalogue that sits somewhere between dance floor and songwriting. Her track Higher with Matvey Emerson came out on Armada Music, and she sang on Memories by the duo Moonbeam. She also lent vocals to Conjure One's album Holoscenic and to Something Wonderful by Keys N Krates, from the CURA EP, which was nominated for a Juno in 2019. She has put out solo EPs like Fly, Narcissus, Lovers and Acoustic Memoir, and worked with Matt Lange on a run of tracks, including Space Between on Mau5trap. Lately she has leaned into Afro House: the So Real EP with Enoo Napa and Phila De Giant climbed to number six on Beatport's Afro House chart. Outside music she is also a visual artist who has worked on film productions, including Suicide Squad.
