About
Destin Conrad makes the kind of R&B that feels genuinely intimate, blending alternative and jazz tinged textures with a warmth that's hard to fake. The Tampa born singer and songwriter built an early following on Vine before pivoting to music, releasing singles and collaborations that quietly earned him a serious reputation. His 2021 project Colorway pulled together nine songs and signalled he was ready to go deeper, and he followed it with Satin in 2022 and then the Submissive series across 2023 and 2024. Behind the scenes he has also written for Kehlani and Ambré, two artists he has collaborated with directly. His 2025 debut album Love on Digital landed a Grammy nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album, a recognition that felt overdue to anyone already paying attention. He also teamed up with Alex Isley for the 2024 single Same Mistake, a collaboration that showed his comfort working across soul and jazz adjacent spaces. Conrad is openly gay and identifies as a queer artist, something he brings into his work without making it a footnote.
