Destruction Ritual is not a band built for easy listening. Formed around MkM, a figure known from Antaeus and Aosoth, alongside TerrorReign of Necroblood and guitarist Arafel, the group pulls from the most uncompromising corners of the French black metal underground. Their music moves through violent black and death metal passages, raw and abrasive textures, and suffocating atmospheric stretches, with twisted melodic lines threading through the chaos. It feels less like entertainment and more like a descent into something diseased and ritualistic. Their full length Providence brings all of this together, pushing the band's sound into corrosive territory that sits between brutality and dark atmosphere. With members carrying serious pedigrees in extreme metal, Destruction Ritual carries the weight of that tradition while carving out something genuinely unsettling on its own terms.
